Behavioral Analyses

Behavioral analysis

At the heart of our studies of learning and memory is a careful and detailed behavioral characterization of mice with specific genetic and pharmacological lesions.  We use a large number of behavioral paradigms designed to test amygdala and hippocampal function,  including the water maze, the eight-arm maze, tone and contextual fear conditioning, social recognition, social discrimination, conditioned taste aversion, and a number of other behavioral tests designed to assay neurological function in mice.
Our laboratory also helps to run the UCLA Behavioral Facility.
